Hello all,

I just want to introduce myself as being brand new to the forum. I recently bought a gently used 2000 Z3 2.3 with only 44K original miles.. Runs like a watch. I've owned Beemers before including a M Roadster back in 1998.. I absolutely love the BMW straight six engines!! I am also looking forward to learning as much as I can about the care and feeding of my new (to me) Z3!!

My wife and I are retired and recently moved to Southern Florida from New Jersey.

Hey Joel, welcome from me near Lincoln UK. I recently retired also and have a home in Florida, in central Florida at Kissimmee.
Truly wish I could bring my Z4 over there but, if only. The straight six is a beauty, I have loved straight sixes since I was a teenager.
You've just moved away from one of our members who lives in NJ at a place called Egg Harbour Township @FRANKIE
Where have you moved to, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Tony!
In New Jersey we were up in Sussex County, about 20 miles from the PA border.. Egg Harbour is way south, down the “Jersey Shore”. In Florida we are in Port St Lucie which is about two hours south of where you are located via the Florida’s Turnpike.
Love Beemers, they are like works of art, particularly the straight sixes as you said. Over the years I have spend a lot of time (and $) on Corvettes but am excited to be back in a beemer. I do the motorcycle thing too, yep a beemer!! Best all around BMW I had was a 2013 (as I recall) 535d. Was like a rocket ship that 47 mpg highway!

The "oil burners" do give good MPG no doubt, we have one here at home in this form.

This is the car we use to get to the airport when we come over to Florida, the Z4 just wouldn't cut it. Plus the MPG of this car allows us a bit more to use in the 3.0 petrol of the Z.
We were down Port St. Lucie way in May when we were in the US for 6 weeks.
