Guys I recently fitted water pump, pulleys, thermostat and housing, bled the system and got a nice hot heater, since then I have not had the car up to temperature, today I ran it up but no heat, my diallema is that I have also had the centre console out and now concerned that I have somehow dislodged a bowden cable, however it does feel like it engages when the heater dial is turned and the sound of the blower changes when moving from hot to cold,
Not sure where to start, is there another way to operate the heater from under the dash.
I cracked the bleed screw but only got a tiny amount of air.

Sounds strange if you had heat after doing the jobs. Are you absolutely sure its not an air lock, I would get the front of the car as high as possible and bleed it again to see if you can get any more air out.

Can you get your hands to the heater hoses where they head off through the bulkhead? Should tell you if they're getting hot, if they are it's either an airlock in the matrix or a control not working properly. Or something else.

Glove box might need to come out to do that?

Surely you can feel the heater hoses on the engine side of the bulkhead? I can't see a reason why you don't have heat in the cabin now Sean, my feeling is that you're right in suspecting a cable has been dislodged while the console was out.

Maybe a wild guess but these cars have an "electronic/electric" heater valve that opens the circuit on the bulkhead when you turn it anywhere from stone cold to other position, maybe that's disconnected or failed? I don't know the detail on how it works but I know it's there.

The Bowden cable for the heating control is located in the centre console on the drivers side, there is a small lever where the Bowden cable is attached.

Thanks for the input guys, I got the front up and bled the life out of it, the reason I took this route is that once the engine got hot I put the heater on and had nice warm air blowing but it went cold after about 30 seconds, it took over 40 mins to get what I think is all the air out, it now stays warm whilst on 4

Best practice is to set the heater to fully hot before you start the car, ensures the heater circuit is in play. With the car raised as high as you can get it at the front, run it and bleed it via the bleed screw. Apply hand pressure to the hoses you can get to so the water gets squised to help it push any trapped air along the system, do this before any great pressure is reached as the hoses will become hard as the pressure builds.
