I am considering retrofitting headlight washers to my Z3. Does anyone have any photos of the washer flued container showing the relative position of the two pumps and the routing of the pipe through the engine bay towards the front bumper please?

Headlight washer pump is on the right, windscreen on the left as you look at it from the front

I have headlight washers on my 1997 Z3; about as much use as titis on a bull really. The highlight of the year is watching the MOT mechanic jump out of the way as his assistant tests the screen washers with the lights on!! :D

Not a simple thing to retrofit, especially for the benefit they give (none really) IMO.
You will need a new washer bottle, a pump, miles of hose with NRVs in it, either a new bumper or be able to cut the holes in the right places, jet assemblies with colour matched plates, etc. And it will be fiddly to install.
That presumes the wiring is there for the second pump. If not it will be a major headache.

I have them on the E89 Z4. PITA they are. They never get used, so every year, just before MOT day, I have to test them. Most of the time they get stuck through lack of use and dirt getting in there, as the Z4 ones are hidden behind a plain cover and push out. So have to mess around with them or it is an MOT failure if they don't work!

Don't think mine (1997 Z3) are a MOT testable item?
