Hi folks,

My headlight/sidelight indication bulb has blown. I assume I need to take out the vent to replace the bulb? Any guidance on how best to remove the vent / replace the bulb much appreciated. Looking though the knowledge base, I cant see any previous threads on this. Although, I see a few comments that vent doesn't come out without breaking its catches!!!!!! Any tips to avoid that would be welcomed.

If you mean the lamp immediately below the headlight switch it comes out with the headlight switch. No need to remove the vent.
IIRC you remove the top off the knob and there is [I think] an 8mm nut underneath. Remove that then you can remove the knob. You can then remove the screw holding the switch in place, then with a bit of wriggling get the switch [with the lamp] out.

Worth checking the condition of the headlight rheostat whilst you are at it ..lots of white powder is not a good sign.

AntStark, Thank you on the heads up. Really helpful, as in trying to work out how to get to the bulb I did remove the lower panel below the dash and scratched my head at all the white power sat on it!!!!!! Indeed, so much white powder the Zed might have previously been a Medellín Cartel pool car !!!!! I'll take a long look at the rheostat.....
