Just a quick query for anyone who has had their headlights apart...
Are the front lenses (i.e. the big clear bit on the front of the headlight) made from a single piece of plastic, or are they laminated?
The reason being is one of my headlights had a trickle of bird poo on it a few months back, and when i came clean it off, it seems to have got inside the light unit. I plan of polishing them up soon anyway, and splitting them apart in order to remove the amber lenses and fit some halos.
If they are just a single piece of plastic, then i can just clean up the inside and jobs a good 'un, however if they are laminated then I think might need to replace it as there's no way i can get milkiness out of laminate (thinking of windscreens I've had go like that in the past...)
