thanks for the link have ordered one although postage was quite expensive
Now you see if that was me I would have bought a load of other stuff I didn't really need at the same time to make the postage more viable. I could have saved, hhmmm spent loads more money!

Just looking at the quoted prices and both are 43.34 but I was sure when I look last night the first link was 4.34. So either my memory is failing or they have noticed their mistake.
If delivery is expensive no cheaper than Sopers and they usually do free delivery for us.

Delivery was £14, I put one in the basket to have a look so the whole amount was only just over £18, however they have noticed their mistake.

@Brian4 They've just corrected that :( Which means that I won't be getting mine as I left it too late.

I wonder whether they'll honor the purchases that were made at the cheaper price.

Rybrook are a major BMW and high end dealer.

But no explanation isn't on and as a gesture of goodwill they could have sent the part.

No they didn't, I had a refund to my PayPal account with no explanation. Needless to say I won't be using them again.
Tried to email the company and the email is not recognised and the Web address isn't either.
Rybook Ltd
Ebay@nickwhaleltd.com
Www.nickwhalebmw.co.uk
I also believe they should have honoured the deal as that's the price it was advertised at

I'm not exactly sure where you stand as if it is price marked in a shop they have to honour it, after all they have admitted their mistake

It will depend on their terms for online sales.

Even in store a shop does not have to honour the shelf price, it's only an 'invitation to treat' in law of contract and at the till they can inform you of the correct price but do not have to honour the shelf price, even if they admit a mistake. If you have paid at the till and the error is not noticed then it's usually binding however.

Online it's not so clear-cut as the retailer often only agrees the contract is binding upon despatch of goods (to avoid having liability for online errors or out of stock etc).
They could also argue that there was no intention to create a legally binding contract when the price was so low it was clearly a mistake (intention is essential for a valid contract).

Sorry for the law lecture :)

From what I know of the law Dino D is correct. However even if a dozen people from the forum jumped on this it wouldn't have bankrupted them to honour it as a gesture of goodwill. Instead they've now got x number of people who won't want to ever do business with them again.
