Hazard Lights

Check fuses 31-34-43 these are connected to the anti theft systems (sorry not sure which fuse exactly) and would effect the hazards as they are linked. Then check the switch. The relay has different inputs for the indicators and hazards so could possibly be that.

Thanks I will check again tomorrow. The anti theft link is interesting as when triggered the lights flash but no sound.

Another option check the well in the far rear left corner of the boot down beside the rear light (pull the side carpet back) the tilt sensor is in there at the bottom, if that's full of water and the connectors have corroded it can affect the hazards.

Sorry should have asked how the switch comes out ?
Not sure as I never removed one, but someone will have and I'm sure will drop on and advise.

Can check but the history of the car is that it was in a collection with little recent use. Has been wet a couple of times recently so will check

Switch can be removed by taking out the ashtray and its base. There is an access hole through which the hazard switch can be pushed up.
