Hi Folks,

I've done a quick search and it looks like I've got to strip out all of the plastics surrounding the roll hoops to unbolt my hardtop fitting kit.

Anyone done it and know otherwise?

If not I'll crack on and start removing the plastics.

Tim

Update.... All done in about 15mins, no need to remove all the plastics.

My fitting kit isn't the OEM one and just bolts onto the side of the body behind the seats. I don't have to remove any of the hard plastics to get to mine. If I remember correctly it's only fitted in with 2 bolts each side.
The nearside one is right above the soft top ram.

I've removed and installed an OEM hardtop fitting kit without removing any trim.

Only bolt you need to remove is under the plastic trim:

As the bolt holds part of the bracket

A little tip for removing the bolts especially on the near side, stuff some cloth into the gap below the ht ram. That bolt is fiddly to get to and very easy to drop into that void ;).

Great, I've just done it.

Had to remove the end of the soft top ram to get onto one of the bolts.

It's tricky but only took about 15 mins and only one swearword.
