There was a steep section a little further up that had no tarmac whatever, just loose rock. No going back, just had to go for it rally style, not good in the 8er. Not done it since.

Oh right, when was that? Been over a few times in the last 4 years and not come across it. Rather you than me though :wideyed:

Yes, Hi to all, not really introduced myself, I was spotted recently which led to me finding this site, must try to find my way to the correct area for that. All Beemers, e31, e36/7, e61, presently.

The rough bit was a little way up ahead, around 5 years ago.




This was Red Tarn with Striding edge in the back ground, on the way up Helvellyn the same trip as the above shots, April I think.
