Hi i am after a roof mounted hoist for storing a hard top any one got one for sale at a reasonable price please ?

Thanks to the ingenuity of @gookah you can easily make your own hoist, and save about £200 into the bargain. All you need is

3 x 1m long lifting slings

1 x 2.5m long lifting sling

3 x spring loaded karabiner clips about 8 cm long

a Silverline 6:1 cable pulley set ref 633957. Comes ready assembled complete with cord and supposedly all rated at 180 kg. Available from Amazon for about £9

Wet bank holiday Monday today so my indoor job is to fit this and remove my hardtop. Will take pics & post, but the above shopping list will enable you to buy the parts. @gookahs ingenuity was how he joined the straps together and adjusted them to the correct lengths. Extremely simple, but then the best ideas usually are !
