The weather was not quite as good as forecast:(, but we had made plans to go out on a drive with @Bozzy & @Mrs. Bozzy:). We met at McDonalds, Uttoxeter and after a coffee and chat set off on a new route round the Peak District. Found some fantastic :coolsteer) roads and if the weather had been better we would have some great scenic photos. As it was, we were in mist and snow showers for quite a bit of the trip:eek:. We will have to do it again when the weather is better. We finished at Tissington Tea Rooms for a well earned cuppa and cream tea.
A great day again with Steve & Sara, look forward to the next time:thumbsup:

:cool:Thank you both for an excellent winters day cruise :).
Yes it was misty and cold, but what a fantastic route you put together,a good mix of good driving roads, tight twisty lanes with great scenery when a break in the fog allowed and some lovely scenic villages .
The bit when we bordered Alton Towers on those lanes was good as well,we would never have found such roads on our own.
Oh yes and the reservoir where we took the road across it,very good, don't know where it is though.

Good company, chat, zeds, roads and a café that was actually open, what more could you ask ?........oh yes, sunshine .
Thanks again you two,I'm still smiling :D.

Steve

Nice to see you aren't fair weather only drivers, I believe a car is there to be driven no matter what the weather and you've proven there are sights to see no matter what the gods throw at you! Well done all of you! JIM

This afternoon I drove past the place where these four had escaped from, the big house just across the river from me .............................;)=)) I did find a few icy bits on my little run out too, a flashing orange light and some opposite lock worked. Glad you all had fun.:)

It was really good fun, everywhere looks so different when it's misty. Looking forward to doing the same run when the weather is better. Took some photo's on my phone, not up to Mints standard :p but i'll post them anyway :)

We'd have seen a lot more if we weren't in the mist Jim. We'll do it again with better weather and show you what we couldn't see;)
