Having never owned a Z3 , actually this is my first bmw . I. Have been venturing into the land of oil leaks! Fixed the dipstick housing couple days ago, easy o-ring fix. But wow trying to get to the oil filter housing (bad leak) has been something else, power steering pulley was almost welded on, but got it off after a long time trying , alternator now ready to be prised out of its housing, hopefully and then I will reach my desired destination , took me 4 hours to get this far, big oily day ahead tomorrow

I had this leak on my wife's Z3. a pig to do. but afterwards the dry engine was a pleasure to look at. well worth it.

This was the bolt from hell, goodness knows how it became so warped

Job done , hopefully doesn't seem to be leaking any longer, won't want to do that job again in a hurry but at least am getting more familiar with the engine
