Rod the forum has done stuff like this a few times in the 6yrs I have been on the forum twice to me personally.
The roll hoops that are on Lynne's Turquoise Green zed I purchased from
@Synclare who stays near Loughborough where Zedfest is held now I can't remember everyone who was involved but
@BMBabe was going to see Adrian and said she would pick them up then she dropped them to someone else ( who I can't remember apologies
) who then got them to
@Davyhoogy who then brought them to the Irvine depot I was in at the time as the job he then had one of the places he went was up to Scotland to go to Irvine and I couldn't thank everyone involved enough for their efforts

The second time was I bought an old Seat Alhambra as I needed a 7 seater for a bit it didn't have the roller blind rear boot cover ( when 5 seat) all the ones on ebay were 40 quid or so plus postage saw one on ebay 99p collection only but ut was quite late at night so went on forum to ask if any local members would get for me and post if u covered costs.
So following morning a couple of people had said a person on here ( I really should have dug up the thread as I really can't remember who it was I'm so bad ) they said he would do that no problem.
So asked if ighet would be OK and went to work.
Got my break looked on forum and he had answered that would be fine.
So back on ebay to buy it but it was sold.
So I went back on the forum to thank them for the offer ( I will go find thread find who it was and edit this) but to say it was sold .
I got a message back 5 minutes later saying yes I know it was me that bought it I have been to get and just stopped at Costa on way back for a coffee we sorted stuff out and he posted up to me another forum member I owe some gratitude to.
See Rod the power of the forum at work there is so many great people on here who have in some instances went right out their way to help other members
to everyone on here who has helped another forum member out with something no matter how small it all counts to the now highly regarded global reputation this forum has and its down to a number of people who invest their time and effort to make the forum pages all work right , to make the events happen , to get specialist guys who can work on your car its a whole community of people with a common love of the bmw z models and come together on here to make it what it is.
( people will be reading thinking I've had a few too many today)
Had a few last night on my birthday talking to Lynne about all the things we'd done and people we've met since buying the Dakar in 2016 we have really enjoyed the experience of ownership a lot more than if we hadn't joined the forum.
So yeah might have attempted to write something along those lines last night but I was drunk and writing all that on a phone just seemed way to difficult a task.
So just took some pictures instead.
