Thanks for the birthday wishes. Spent birthday struggling to get my bonnet open! The cable between the two catches has come adrift and I cannot reach underneath the offside catch. Any clever suggestions welcome.

Hi Tony, thanks for the info. Tried all of this so far. Problem is getting access underneath the near side catch. Dropped undertray, pulled out near side grille. Removed wheel arch liner. No access, certainly on 3.00 litre. Taking stock before more drastic action. Wouldn’t mind but replaced all cables and catches last year. All lubricated and was working well.
