Well after spending 20yrs in the prison service the word "Grass" has now taken to on a whole new meaning. Just look at this.

What's this????? and no it didn't get struck by lightening.

Couldn't believethis was the culprit.

Just shows you what a 7yr old can unwittingly do with his favourite pieces of play. Two days of sliding down into the pool has burnt a landing strip into it and looks like it won't recover this year without re seeding. Oh well it's been worth it seeing a youngster having so much fun when the heat was too much for us old uns.

Actually saw that while in the army back in the 70s, had a guards regiment next to us in the middle of a hot summer (76, I think) and the Queen mother was coming, so they painted the grass green.
