After splicing all the damaged wires back together, all seemed to be good, car starts, runs and all warning lights except one have cleared, the remaining one is the airbag warning light which would not clear, it soon became obvious that the seatbelt tensioner had deployed ( I cant say I heard it deploy, but it did ) so after buying and fitting a replacement one, along with the temporary installation of a seat pad emulator and connecting my code reader a number of faults were still present, I have attached a photo of the faults as seen on the reader, but none of them will clear, the most concerning one to me is the ' 11 power supply' fault which has me concerned that the SRS control module has been damaged, I would be grateful for any input or advice before I start to remove the SRS module. Thanks.

You have the dreaded F0 code. No I'm not telling you to have sex and travel. Its the module internal error fault code. See the below link on the fault code.

Either replace the module or buy it a return trip ticket to the USA for fixing. A replacement module will need to be coded to the car.

Thanks for the quick reply, thats pretty much what I was dreading ! However I shall persevere with the removal of said unit and hopefully get it repaired/replaced as necessary, hopefully these chaps may be able to help - www.crashdata.co.uk they are pretty local to me so got to be worth a call, thanks again.
