Please take steps to secure trash cans and other potential sources of food. Bears that find food in residential neighborhoods may learn to associate people with food. These bears may then become nuisances that cause property damage, seek handouts from people, or become dangerous. Intentionally feeding bears is illegal in New Jersey and carries a fine of up to $1,000. Report black bear damage or aggressive bears to your local police department or to Fish & Wildlife by calling 1-877-927-6337.

No Black Bears, or Bears of any kind. We do however have sheep, lots of sheep

Yeah, we have a real problem with bears in the flatlands of Lincolnshire. Them and the tigers!

No we don’t have bears or tigers, we’ve had the great British tourist and their slowly making their way back north up the M5 trail to their hibernation and breading grounds

Not seen any around here as yet, however folks tend to be sensible and not feed them, leave food out or encourage them either, however cute they might be

No bears round here either. But made a hole in the fence for hedgehogs and now I have Roland - who lives under next door's summerhouse - popping through to nibble me veg.

Thing is they look so damn lovable and cute, it must be tempting to put food out for them but I can understand why you shouldn't...the seagulls are quite aggressive here and will attack you for a chip or piece of scampi, heavens knows what it would be like with a bear hiding in the hedge!

Some Bear problems in Florida, but not through being "fed" unless youcount the bears helping themselves from trash cans. By far the biggest problem are nuisance Alligators, usually from being fed by idiots.

We have Drop Bears, This is why the Savvy Aussie outdoors-man wears his cap on backwards to confuse the Drop Bear into dropping to late..Drop Bears often collude with snakes to distract the intended victim.. .

Locals who have studied the Australian Drop Bear in the wild recommend a range of proven Drop Bear repellents. The most effective of all is DropBear-o-Guard, commonly known as Vegemite wiped behind the ears. If you are in a known Drop Bear area you should probably smear it all over your face to avoid an attack.
