So I had a brake warning light and there was no reason for it, no codes and everything was good. Fluid was even at maximum.

I know that light usually means low fluid but I had fluid so I thought I'd bridge the reservoir level sensor out of interest. Light went off but when plugged back in it came back on even with the float held up.

Opened it (just unclip the black cap) up for a look and inside there are two pins coming from the connector then a washer that clips to the float shaft that makes the circuit complete when the reservoir is full. However this washer had come off. Clipped it back on, plugged it back in and the light went off.

Problem solved, the clip is quite weak and doesn't seem to take much to undo it, in mine at least.

Something to check before the credit card comes out.

Done

Wish the rest of my electrical woes were this simple. The roof and fuel gauge have given up now 🤦🏼
