Archived Goodwood Breakfast Club soft top Sunday 1st May

1st May 2016 is the date for the Soft top Sunday at Goodwoods breakfast club. This is normally a great gathering of soft tops of all makes.

It's an early start as most arrive by 08.30. Last year was very good.

Anybody fancy joining a few of us. Maybe a run and lunch afterwards ?

Did most of them last year. If its dry its a great morning to see some nice cars. And its free....
Also as it starts early gives you plenty of time to other things in the rest of the day.

Looking at adding a drive and a pub lunch after the Soft Top Sunday.. I have been to a very nice country pub. If anybody wants to find out more. Its referred to as The Pub with No Name, Hampshire. Its a very nice country pub which has a very nice bar menu.

A soft of route would be like the attached, taking in some of the great parts of the South Downs. I am thinking of stopping along the route for some photo opportunities too.

Hi @pgunter we could be up for this one, I did try registering with Goodwood for this but haven't heard anything back. Did you have to register last year?

Gary,

It's free and you just turn up.. Registering will put you on a list to show your car inside on the track parked up. It's a very hit and miss affair which goes first to Goodwood members. The soft top is open to all, we shall meet up before hand and drive into the car park as a group. It is all free, as the Earl of March believes that such events are for encouraging car heritage and enthusiasm in the motor industry for all. Hence the Goodwood events such as Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. Which you pay for. Lol..

Guys and Gals... There is no list.. I will be meeting a few from the West and Driving along the A272 to the north of Goodwood then down into the back of the parking area. It's free parking and free entrance. You just need to be early as its from about 08.30.. Hence the Breakfast Club... I hope to weather permitting have a drive afterwards and a mini meet for lunch.

There has been a great deal of interest in the meeting and it promises to be a wonderful day.

We’re very pleased to tell you that your vehicle has been accepted, and we would like to invite you to park within the Goodwood Motor Circuit where your vehicle will be on display for everyone to appreciate. We advise that you should arrive no later than 08.00hrs for easy access as it does get very busy after that."


Heck I am now going to have to clean the car and get up really early. Hope to see some of you there.
