Well, the run flats have finally gone. Swapped for a full set of Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 5's and the difference was noticeable from the off.

Much quieter and a much smoother ride. Also, whilst we won't be heading towards every pothole we see, the inevitable ones we have encountered so far haven't left us thinking that we'll be needing a new alloy every time.

The tyre fitters have inflated them to 35 psi all round which seems fairly comfortable but it's a lot less than the 38 front and 42 rear specified on the door pillar for the run flats.

Anyone got any recommendations as to what pressure to run them at?

I ran mine at 34 front and 32 rear Keith.

Big difference from the run flats.

Tony.

I hate run flats. I have to have them on my 3 series as it’s a lease car.

I have to be extra vigilant to avoid any small hole or fault in the road. And when I miss one the whole car thuds in a nasty way.

Continental contiseals are a much better idea.

Running mine on the e89 with Pilot Sport 4s at 32f 36r
