On the Z3 buyers seem to stress if it's had a few owners, or if there's the odd missing stamp in the service history.
Even if the car has done next to nothing between services.
This is unusual, l never had this selling my Ferrari (eleven previous owners) or my Porsche (ten if l remember correctly) even my Elise S2 which was a 2005 nobody even asked.
Modern cars such as the Z3 are much more robust than older cars, such as my Vitesse MK2.
That car had seven previous owners and little history from the first ten years.
But nobody was bothered.
Yet buyers have pecked at my recently for sale (pristine low mileage show winning) Z3 3.0 M Sport because it's had six owners and there's a gap in the history (during which time the car was barely used) although it's still got seven recorded services in 56,000 miles.
The owner from that time says he serviced it regularly and the condition of the car backs it up.
Yet nobody even came to see it after l mentioned the above to them.
