Get signing peeps

I just want to sure that as many zeds and other like it for that matter are kept on the road for as long as possible, Otherwise re manufactured and aftermarket parts are going to become difficult to get or uneconomical to manufacture. That's my only take on it.... And I despise waste, pollies included..

In the uk there are a lot, and I mean a LOT of cars over 20 years old on the road. Most wouldn't be classed by their owners as 'classic' cars.

Ask AI to look at the 'how many left' database and it says there's still 12,000 mk1 ford focuses taxed and mot'd. Looking at old VW Golf and it says there's 30,000 remaining actually taxed.

There's a lot of people who'd fall into that 20+ year old group. No chance the country could afford to give them all a tax discount. I suspect there's more chance the gov't will reduce the current discount scheme rather than expand it.

Really? That someone from the other side of the world is signing a petition to reduce car tax in the UK?
These 'facebook' petitions are never going to be taken seriously by any politicians (rightly so IMO).

Politicians don't regard people as 'people'...just 'voters'. Unless they want your vote, or their job is at risk, they couldn't give two shites about the public.
It suits to latch on to that to justify, however if you think there is a decent percentage (enough to skew) of those from outside the UK completing these UK gov polls then you are not correct sir. This is the usual deflection the gov spins also. Fact is these help publicise disquiet. If you don't want to complete that's fine, but to say they don't do anything then maybe check on the number of u turns the Gov have already done. I seem to remember completing a petition on farmers, winter allowance etc ..maybe they helped maybe they didn't. So thanks @Grumps for bringing the petition on here and am sure a few have silently completed also.

That's ok, I don't take any of these "politicians" seriously.

Unfortunately they are in charge, though. Luckily 'facebook heroes' aren't (yet).
