Hello,

I am looking for advice on recommended oil replacement for gearbox and differential - not necessarily OEM oils.
Also could you please confirm how much oil is required for these replacements?

Real OEM suggests MTF-LT-2.

Best take a look at the Opie Oils website and enter your Reg Number to make your choice of brands.
Engine needs 5w-30 fully synthetic if high mileage car then switch to 5w-40 fully synthetic.
Gearbox (Manual) It would have had a label on the side of the box as some models used Automatic Transmission Fluid, my 1999 1,9 uses ATF. Others use 75W-80 transmission oil.
Diff oil is75W90 Synthetic
Downside is you need to buy 2 x 1 litre bottlers for gearbox and Diff to refill Gearbox takes 1.3litres Diff takes 1.1litres, both are refilled untill it overflows through the filler hole. No sealing washers on the gearbox they are taper plugs however the Diff plugs have alloy sealing washers and your old ones will be corroded so have replacements ready. I use replacement copper washers when I change Diff fluids.
Link to OPIE hear, enter Zroadster forum for a discount if you order from them.
