Hi all,
Been on this site before but cant remember my username and password so started all over.
When i originally joined the site over a year ago i had just bought the silver z3 that you can see in my profile picture. The silver zeds still needing restoring and nothings changed with it since i was on here last. Ive not had the time since i bought another 3 Z3s.
The black Z3s a 2.8 thats had a 2.3 fitted when i bought it which i removed and replaced with a 3.0l engine and is not far from going to body shop for a respray or wrapped, Not sure which yet!.
The 1.9 Z3 without any panels i bought off ebay. It starts and drives. The guy was hoping to sell to somebody that wanted to build a kitcar from it and was a bit gutted when i won it for peanuts. I put the rear wide arches on just to see how it would look with some deep dish style 32s i have on a 540i. I already have all the panels to go onto the car which i will be fitting at some point when i get time then ive been told by wifey its her's and she wants it purple....lol
My main priority is the 3.0 Z3 she can have hers when mines done...haha.
Now the fourth Z3 some of you might like but alot wont. Hahaha
I was always wanting to v8 the silver Z3 because its very solid and rot free. But after talking to a mate, Taking some measurements and experiencing a drive out in what he calls his "gubaru" I put the idea on hold.
The gubaru is his mk4 golf on a subaru wrx floorpan its an animal and i loved it so much. Ive already bought a Z3 shell that was to be scrapped and a 1999 wrx subaru. The guy that does this kind of thing and nothing else is fully booked until 1st november. So from the 1st november the subaru wrx complete floor pan and the Z3 shell will be fully seam welded together on his car body gig. I believe the first 4x4 turbo z3 will be collected from him when hes finished. Then spend the winter putting it all back together and hopefully out to play next year.
I Know this isnt everybodys cup of tea but i will take pictures as the hybrid 4x4 turbo z3 project takes place for those of you that are interested.
