Hi all.

I have been noticing a rattle from the fuel tank getting louder and louder for the past few weeks and have tracked it down to the passenger side of the fuel tank.

I believe there is a small fuel vaper catcher thing with a ball in and somehow the ball has come loose.

Any advice would be of great help here as I know I have to remove the entire subframe to even get to the fuel tank.

My first questions are:

Do all z3s have the same fuel tank?
Can I fix/remove the part that is rattling?
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement fueltabj and get it delivered for a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance

Jack

Hi all. Today I changed rear brake pads and the rattle is gone - I’ve been out for a long test drive and am very releaved.

I won’t be getting brembo pads again

I’ve got an adjustable camber and toe weld in kit ready to go in next weekend and am planning to do sub frame and trailing arm bushes at the same time. I’ll also be sanding and painting fuel tank straps and fitting a new set of rubbers.

I was very worried I would do all the work only to find I need a new fuel tank but after the new pads today I am more relaxed.
