Fuel tank flap lock..............

Hi again.
Has anybody changed the cable that operates the lock on the fuel tank flap? Z3 2.8 - (cable from central locking solenoid to tank flap)
Can just feel the solenoid through the neck hole but wunder how to get to it to replace the cable....................

Not sure if you have heard of the BMW TIS Online repair manuals or not, but it may be in here somewhere

Bit the bullet and started stripping....................
Just in case anybody needs to change this cable,not bad job,took about 3/4hr.
Remove drivers side rear wheel,remove the plastic inner wheel arch,the solenoid assembly
can be seen tucked away up in the wing,remove the 2 small nuts and drop the solenoid for easy
access to the cable,remove cable clip then the cable.
Fit new cable and route around the wing arch,re-assemble in reverse order.
Job done................................
