Hi all
I’ve noticed that my fuel cap seal is starting to perish, the lock etc is all fine.
I purchased one off eBay thinking they were all the same, but alas this is not so!
The one that turned up is basically an o ring, whereas mine is a flat seal.
Can this part be bought separately? Am I looking at replacing the whole cap?
Cheers Danny

I think this one would be better as it has a flat rubber seal?

Tony.

ps. Is yours a locking cap? My Z3 had a plain cap but the flap was locked by the central locking, well, it was after I replaced the rod from the solenoid in the o/s/r inner wing.

A man after my own heart. Well done.

I've had to do a few "specials" during my recent refurb on my Z3 MC.

Thanks for the replies, yes it’s the locking fuel cap.
I don’t think bmw supply the part anymore as it’s omitted on parts lists! Steve Medlock I think I’d have to do the same as you, what type of rubber is that?
Ta Danny
