Fuel air

I've just bought a z4 2.2 2005
Lovely car but unfortunately the
Engine management lite came on
The aa came and said it was air
Fuel problem
Can anyone give me any idea what it
Mite be

I would start by looking at the air intake ducts. They dose and split over time, so check then thoroughly. They are cheap to buy, even from bmw.
If they are shot, then they will be letting air in to the combustion, after the MAF which in turn will confuse the air/fuel mix, then turn on the engine management light.
Check on YouTube if you don't know where the ducts are.
