Nice Z3 with some hard work put in too by the looks of it! I nearly went for a 3.0 Z3 when I was looking to change my 2.2 Z3. In the end I plumped for a Z4 though. There are some cracking Z4 deals out there at the moment. You won't be disappointed with the 4 as long as you are prepared for the slight loss of performance. The Z4 is a totally different animal, almost like a mature middle aged version of the Zed range, slightly more reserved in looks and performance but solid reliable and just a little bit more refined in a lot of areas. The larger boot, cabin and presence on the road are all worth it.

With the Z3 I was constantly working it to the red line (and loving it). With the Z4 I'm chilled and cruising steady away.....nothing to prove to the chavs in the Saxos and Corsas....but plenty there if the mood takes me once in a while! :YMDEVIL:

Good look with the sale. Someone will get a nice Z3 there.

Hi Guys,

Not wanting toi count my Chickens just yet, but I have now have an offer on the Zed, and another two potential buyers wanting to come and see it if the sale falls through.

I put a new 12 months MOT on to sweeten the deal!

Hope to start Z4 shopping before long :D

Let the search for an excellent Z4 begin.

Perfect shopping list as follows:-

3.0
Manual preferably
Grey / blue (or silver at a push) Must be free of scratches / dings
Black hood
Black leather heated seats (best option ever for a convertible!)
Split rim alloys
Sub 70k miles ideally
FSH
£6k ish budget

Could be a long search!

If anyone sees or knows for a good 'un please feel free to PM me.

Cheers

S.

Hi Aceman,

No, DC. I will be pointing him the direction of this forum so he will be able to introduce himself.

Why do you ask?

No worries I have just had contact with someone who has bought a 3.0 and thought it was a bit of a coincidence.

Nice shopping list! (apart from heated seats - yuk! - I can't use them as warm feelings in the trouser area just aren't neccesary when you're out for a drive - lol :)) )

If it's a 3.0 you're after go for an auto - seriously these engines were made to be married to auto boxes! Effortless comfortable touring with no loss of performance in reality. In fact I find it quicker off the mark on balance as there can be no missed gears, stalls or other human errors coming into play just foot off brake and onto gas and you are away. No hurried gear changes at roundabouts just calm regulated pressure on the accelerator gets the optimum performance.

I wouldn't say the same for a 2.2 or 2.5 but the 3 litre has the power to make the auto box work perfectly for the Z4. :coolsteer)

There are some cracking cars out there at the moment for between 6 and 7 grand. Just take your time and you'll get what you're after.

Good luck! :coolsteer)

How good does that grey Z4 look? Just what I'm looking for, thanks for the link.

Just got to wait for the Z3 to be collected and funds cleared, private plate retained etc. So if it's still for sale in a week or so he will be getting a call!

Couldn't open the link to the black one though.

Thanks again.

Simon :-ss
