Front strut brace...will it fit?

A work mate has recently bought a 2003 330 e46 cab. He's seen a brace on ebay second he wants to buy but the seller has said it will only fit the coupe and saloon? Sounds odd to me but what do I know! Any help appreciated.

I'd have thought so too but the seller is saying it won't fit the cab or one with traction control?
