Front Shocks

Hopefully an easy question, are the front shocks on my 2.8 the same as E36?
I know the rears are different.

Best check the part number in Realoem, it will show what your part number is compatible with.

I think they are different, also sport models in theory have different shocks. In reality I think they are only slightly different on the inside and interchangeable.

They are all much the same. E36 323i, 325i or 328i struts will work fine. Ideally you want the correct Boge Sachs struts but E36 ones will do the job.
