Front shocks

[Simps Z4]

Took my Z4 to my mechanic today to sort out squealing brakes which he seems to have done nicely. However, he doesn't work on many Z4's and was concerned that when jacked up, he could move the front wheels up (and down) in each direction with easy (and just a couple of fingers.) He is not sure if i need new shocks & coils or if there is meant to be a lot of travel on the shocks.

Anyone any idea?

Sounds like the dampers are no good, does the car wallow at the front and does it take a long distance to brake?

Seems fine in all fairness although I do seem to bottom out on speedhumps sometimes - not driving fast enough to cause problems.
