Hi Tracy, to change the seat belt guide you have to remove and strip the seat. There are other ways to repair them, one of which I posted on here or you can buy some very nice repair pieces from @Southernboy on here.

Tony.

ps. Welcome to our forum by the way, I think I maybe missed your introduction thread?

Thanks for the referral Tony..
Hi Tracy and welcome to the forum. If you have a look in under "Forums" and scroll down to " For sale section" and then click on "Southernboys mods" you will see the seat belt guide fix. It will hold a broken guide in position as if it wasn't broken at all. In fact it'll be stronger than an unbroken guide. It is also good for preventing these guides from breaking. The cost of a pair is less than the cost of one new guide, and you don't have to strip the seat cover or remove the seat from the car and the cost of finding a trimmer to do that for you.

Hi.
Just gave my car a hoover out and being a early z3 it has no fixings in the carpet
So a decent quality fitting mat will do rather than the cheap thin flimsy ones i have that keep riding up under the pedals.
So if anyone has any let me know
Thanks.

The "fixings" are simply 2 plastic screws with a flip over triangular locking mecjanism which passes through the may which has a plastic disc with a slot in it. So, you really want the 2 plastic screws and OEM mats.;)

The 2 screw thingy's you need are available from BMW - Part # 51472263062. They shouldn't be more than around 50p each. They screw into the floor carpet directly below the plastic slotted disc fitted into the mats. The triangular flip lock passes through the slot, the scew is turned 90 degrees and fliped over to lie flat in a recess in the disc.

I purchased some on eBay and added a blue piping around the black mats.. They look great. The company do all kinds of colours.. Maybe a red piping might be good ?

Sounds good.
Do you know the company you bought the mats with the piping.?
Always nice to get a recommendation of quality stuff.
