Perfect day for tinkering ! My front bumper is a Lumma bumper which is modelled on the e46 m3 bumper. Sadly mine was looking a little worse for wear after my son parked the car nose first against a kerb which tore a lump out at the bottom. I got a replacement off of dino D and was going to put a standard one back, then I thought about an e46 m3 front splitter. I could have bought either a carbon fibre or fibre glass splitter and opted for fibre glass in case I needed to modify it to fit. I'm pleased I opted for the fibre glass as it didn't fit right as a the z3 is more pointed in the middle opposed to the m3 being flat. I had to cut the splitter in the middle and fibre glass the join making it more pointed to follow the shape of the bumper. I'm pleased with the result not sure whether to make good the screw holes or fit some stainless steel domed Allen bolts like motor bike fairing fixings. The splitter is stuck on with tiger seal but left the screws until it's all set hard. Front grills changed and carbon fibre style badges.
