You'll need to make up a new section yourself. Maybe not complete as it's an awkward brake pipe to feed through. But a repair section that joins just the other side of the wheel arch so it's hidden. Here's what I did.
Thanks, i did consider this option, its what i would do, the son in law has the z3 now and asked if i could fish around and ask the question, i think a repair is the only realistic option without creating a load of pain.
I really don't like patch-up repairs like that. But the brake pipes were one of the first components on the body shell on the production line so they are buried behind other stuff. It's the only way with several brake pipes, including the long front to back ones unless the axle is out
