Hi there!
Today i had all four corner rubbers renewed, so thought, wonder how much it is to have four wheel alignment
done too.

Rang Sytner who quoted £185 sir. after my gulp!! she said that she would ask her boss again and ring me back. and had i been given a lower quote?

OK, so while I'm waiting i ring the local Merc. specialist and ask them to quote.- £31.00 sir. Booked that straight away.
Later on then Sytner rang back to say that they could now do the alignment for £99.

Does anyone know if BMW alignment is different in any way to Mercedes?

I'm not sure about the Alpina's but standard Z4's should have extra weight put on the seats and have certain amount of fuel in the tank (possible full) to be aligned correctly. I doubt many alignment centres bother, but it's what's stating in the Z4 TIS.

That's interesting Gaz thanks for that.
OK just to check that there were no misunderstandings when i was to take the car in for the "four wheel alignment"
i gave the garage another call this morning and spoke to a different person.
After explaining what i wanted, rear wheels aligned before alignment to the fronts, it seems they cant do that!!
They priced me for laser tracking but this would mean alignment of the front only off the rears.
Not what i had asked for, so cancelled the appointment.
Have now booked it into a tyre place that do use the Hunter system and they adjust the rears first then align
the fronts off the rears.
Price is £90 inc. VAT but only if adjustments are needed. If the rears are set correctly then they charge £30
to track the fronts only.

Happy days. Thanks for all comments guys it made me check that i was going to get what i had asked for. :thankyou:
