Hi all,

I have some software updates to make to the forum tomorrow (20/07/2017), which will mean the forum is unavailable for maybe a couple of hours - most likely in the late morning/afternoon evening around 7-8pm.

I'll update this thread once I've sat down and planned what needs doing!

Regards, Gary

EDIT: Most likely will be evening around 7-8PM

Upgrade is scheduled in for after 7PM and there is a fair bit to do. Not going to put a timer on it, but I'm going to say best to allow for around 2 hours for things to come back fully. I've contracted in a chap called Matt who does lots of forum work like this as he will be able to do the more complex parts quicker and leaving me the simple stuff. That should make it all happen a little smoother.

These are patches rather than new functionality, although there may be a couple of new things I'll announce where appropriate.

It's the forum core software along with the media gallery and resource manager (written by the same people), the forum templates then need updating. Following on from that a few addons need updating to match the new version numbers. Primarily it's patches and fixes though so you shouldn't really notice that much - but I will in the admin console ;)

Postponing these till the weekend, or possibly next week. I've already done a lot of the work today, and just need to finish off the rest.
It's all very much appreciated by everyone Gary. Even if it's not all gone to plan today. That's quite often the case. Stuff often crawls out the woodwork when doing this kind of stuff. Best to stop and draw breathe rather than just plough on and being unable to back out.

Time to get home and have a cuppa

Updates were just completed by Matt in the last hour, so we are now almost up to date. There were a couple of things I needed to update that needed to wait for the forum core update, so will sort those asap.

I'll be checking things out this morning, only thing I've noticed so far is a font change... Shout if you see anything out of place!

Just noticed 'recent posts' does not show on the menu bar after leaving a thread - does not default to 'home'
