Very hazy and smoky driving this morning. Most cars had their lights on. Ash started to fall towards the afternoon. The fire is still out of control and is about 25 miles away. Thank God there wasn't a stiff wind and the air was calm. Two days ago we had 20 mph wind the whole day. That would have been real trouble for us as we would have been right in its path. Plenty of trees all around us as we are near the Wharton State Forrest and the Pinelands preserve. Last I heard it had taken out about 2,500a acres. But tonight there wasn't much smoke in the air and no scent of burning wood so I think they're getting it under control................Frankie
