Hello all,
It's been nearly 4 years since I got Zizi but it's with a heavy heart that the need for a more practical vehicle means I'm having to sell so my Z3 3.0
Details here, will try to answer any questions as best I can (I'm not a mechanic!)
General:
Silver body work with black leather
Manual transmission
2001 "Y" reg 3.0 facelift - the one with the big hips
97,500 miles
Part service history - previous owner serviced himself but I've had it done regularly at a BMW specialist
MOT due April-16, last test had advisories for front disc corrosion so replaced 500 miles ago along with pads
4/5 "green lights" on service gage, last serviced a few months and 2,000 miles ago
The good points:
Lots of AC Schnitzer kit from new including:
Chrome roll-hoops
Stainless exhaust
17" type III wheels (recently refurbed and in excellent condition)
Shorty gear knob
Handbrake handle
Other goodies:
Hamann strut brace over front so doesn't tram-line as much as some
Body matching BMW hard top roof included
BMW "M" steering wheel
Paintwork in good condition with no rust but there are a few stone chips on the nose visible from around 6 inches, haven't gone through to base coat
Electric soft-top in good order, no tears or marks and mechanism works perfrectly. Plastic soft-top window suffers from crease marks but has no cracks. Car has been garaged throughout its life until I moved 6 months ago but the last few weeks' have proven it doesn't leak!
Heated seats
Air conditioning
6 CD changer in boot and VDO Sat Nav system in centre console (maps out of date but it gets me around fine)
Electric mirrors and windows
Heater rear window in hard top
The bad points:
There's a dent under the driver's door handle around half an inch across which is visible in the right light
There's another dent in the bonnet about the same size
Door windows have a tinted film lining which has become a bit tatty around the top
I've put contact sports on all round but the rears need replacing soon
Driver's seat leather is a bit baggy and there's a bit of wear on the sides. No tears but by no means factory condition
It took me around 3 months to find this car in 2011 and I'll be sorry to see her go.
I'd say I've taken good care of her but to be honest I haven't really needed to get much work done, a sensor on the Cam inlet 3 years ago, another on the brakes last year and the discs this year.
I'll be listing her here and the other site and I'll put it on Autotrader later.
I've got an idea of the price I'd like for it but if any experts have an idea I'd appreciate a PM or reply to guide me. I paid a premium for it 4 years ago but it's difficult to work out what the ACS stuff adds to the price!
