As far as I know the original BMW floor mats are hard to find for Z3 so thought I would try the ones from our 5 series and guess what they fit. The passenger one was a bit wide in one place but not really noticable.

browsing ebay came across as used set from a 2005 - 2012 3 series took the plunge and won them. They arrived today and brilliant fit. Wash and scrub later look really good condition some wear on the heel area but new ones show this very quickly so if you need some new mats have a look for the 3 series mats. Got mine at a very good price as the seller only had the fronts.

Good to know, could you add a picture of these mats fitted so we can see how close the fit is?

I read somewhere that you can remove the plastic lock pieces and get a upholsterer to copy the mats and insert the plastic things - there you go, new mats for a fraction of the price. Never tried it though.... :)

Here are the mats in place.
As they are BM ones they have velcro loop patches on the back which fix to 2 large velcro hook circles which fix to the carpet. Just ordered 2 from BM at £3.30 for the pair. £5 each from e bay.
