Here's a little rant.
So nearly a month ago I put the Corsa up for sale on eBay as spares and repairs.
There were 52 watchers on the original ad and the bid ended with the highest bid being £460.
The buyer contacted me saying that he would come to collect the car the next day - he didn't - after this he re-arranged multiple times but never showed up.
I was a little disappointed as I'd just paid £10 for that advert and waited a week for the bid to run through.
Anyway, I then put the car back up on eBay for which I spent another tenner. This time the advert had 63 watchers! And ended today with the highest bid being £389...
I contacted the buyer and congratulated him immediately after the bidding had finished and asked if he would like to arrange a collection time. The response I got 'No sorry mistake'
What sort of a response is that?! Not an even an apology or an attempt at one!
Why bid on an item if you don't want to purchase it?
It would be a different story if it wasn't a bid and they just outright purchased the car on a buy it now basis and wished to cancel (as they may have a reason for doing so), however, waiting an entire week for the bid to run through only to find that the buyer doesn't want to purchase??!
You have the option to cancel a bid whilst the bid is running. Alternatively he could have contacted me and asked that he wanted to retract the bid, but he didn't!
Mind=Blown.
Rant over
Glad that's out the system.
