Flat spot under hard acceleration

Z4 2006 2 litres
NO probs with her. Never misses a beat. Accelerates well, but.........I had to really rev her hard to overtake a vehicle in third, and the acceleration went flat, no power. I changed gear and everything seemed ok. Its only done this a couple of times in the last year. Very low mileage (26,000) Any suggestions?

Yeh I switched on brain a little later. Started looking for readers on ebay. But then realised a trip to the local garage might be the better option. Thanks anyway.

Where are you located Ian, more than likely there'll be someone with a code reader close enough to check it for you.
