Have been a member for a couple of years but this is my first post! Me and Mrs M went on our first road trip, so wanted to share with you all as enjoy reading about your road trips. Having previously only been on trips out for a couple of hours, the kids are now old enough to be left for the day, so leave them for the day we did! Started at Sudbury Hall for coffee, before heading on the A515 to Ashbourne. A busy place for a Sunday and lots of possibilities for a tasty Sunday Lunch, before heading further up the A515 to the quaint Tissington Hall and a rumble over their cattle grids...! With my pride and joy still in one piece we took the tricky exit back on to the A515 and off to the tourist village of Hartington with the quaint pubs and shops, where we ate ice-cream by the duck pond before heading home. A lovely drive out, that was just warm enough with the hood down (the only way to drive) and despite it being overcast with the odd grey cloud we never saw any rain. Finally after a clean, we tucked the car away for the night. Here's to many more...

Hi Matt, nice write up and pictures. You may have seen some other members out in the peaks yesterday, 3 blue Z3s and a couple of Z4s.

Tony.

Thanks Tony! Think we must have just missed each other, but will certainly wave if we see you all next trip!

Hi Mat,
Looks like you had a good day out, nice pics.
Lovely part of the world

Thanks Craig, yes it is. Have lived on the edge of the Peak District for many years but only recently started to explore it.

Great 1st Post Matt. Know the area you were in very well:whistle:, may see you out and about sometime;)

Nice pics, thanks for sharing.

Great pictures of your outing and nice write up.
We're in the same boat, kids grown up and only 1 of the 3 still at home.........FREEDOM :D.....until the grand kids arrive later this year .

Steve.

Thanks for sharing, great photos and write up  Keep them coming :)

FREEDOM :D.....until the grand kids arrive later this year

Grand kids are great Steve, you have them on your terms, enjoy them, spoil them, BUT and here's the golden ticket. You can give them back to their parents and do what the heck you like with the rest of your planned spare time :D:D

AND, when they're big enough you can start a chimney sweeping business too ..................... ;)

Tony.

Only problem is that Sara is very maternal, she won't want to give them back :arghh: :banghead:.

Looks like a great day out in a lovely zed
