Finally got organised for an away trip to blow the cobwebs out of Roxanne, the Zed. Drove from Stanthorpe to Nimbin via Tenterfield and the Bruxner Highway, down a long and tight curved mountain road through forest recently ravaged by bushfires. 34 k's of tight bends before the road flattened out and I could get her into top gear for a bit of a fang. 500 k round trip along some good highway and some totally crap minor roads in New South Wales. The Temp gauge never moved off the halfway mark and the fuel gauge didn't move much at all. Took off with the lid down but soon put it up again as the weather was a tad warm, 90 degrees F. Air-con was so cool and the beastie loved the bends and sweeping curves.
What does it take to hang the tail out? Talk about road grippers, whew. Check out the route on Google, Stanthorpe to Nimbin via Casino.
Now, where to next? Hmmmm

Nice one. They do handle and stick well. Try it in the wet and give it some welly :D

It's an aboriginal place name and is pronounced Bunny Bunoo. Nimbin is the hippie hemp capital of Oz. Lots of massive bushfires and a killer drought. We have forgotten what rain looks like.

Would love to see Clarkson going down that jump up. There be trucks and kangabloodyroos. Eyebrow lifters. Heh heh.

Just filled Roxanne after that mountain road trip --- 36 mpg. I thought that was pretty good seeing as close to 130 K's of it was twisty 2nd and 3rd gear driving.
