We're off to Tenby tomorrow for the weekend and it will be our longest run out since we went to York last summer.

Just googled it and it's 287 miles door to door and I'm really looking forward to the trip.
We're meeting up with old friends from West Midlands for a "catch up" and probably wont be driving around the locality once we get there, but I suppose the weather will more or less dictate what we get up to.

I was hoping for a "dirty weekend" but the missus decided she wanted to come too=))

I'm not taking my laptop so wont be online after tomorrow lunchtime until we get home on Monday, so that'll be about 600 threads for me to catch up on.

With a bit of luck, all the traffic will be coming into Cornwall so we should have an easy drive out.

Another bit of news is that I've just put my new personalised number plate (R10 GJO) on my Zed and have renamed her "Rio". Her previous name was Cilla, but I think someone else has that plate=))

GJO are my initials, Garry James Oakley, and she's an R reg. I picked the 10 purely because it spelled "Rio".

Might put my other wheels on too before I set off and I'll do some pics.

Have a great run mate, my first top down run today home from work, not quite 287 miles. I will admit to wearing my body warmer and a cap but even so it was great.:)

Tony.

We had an absolutely brilliant weekend away. Set off on Friday in drizzling rain and fairly heavy traffic. Went A30, M5, M4, A48, A40. The rain stopped periodically but it meant we had the roof up all of the journey. We drove non stop, except to refuel and got to our destination around 5pm to dump our bags and then spent the rest of the day in the pub at Wisemans Bridge.

The Zed didn't move until Sunday when we had a leisurely drive up to St Davids. On the way back we stopped off at Carew Castle.

Set off for home at 11am this morning in bright sunshine and topless. Traffic was very heavy until we got past Port Talbot on M4 but after that we maintained steady progress all the way back home. We covered close to 700 miles over the weekend and my trusty Zed never missed a beat.

Got back home around 5pm this afternoon with a burned head and face. I took my sunglasses off and I look like a white eyed Panda, lol.

We're both really looking forward to our next outings which will be the "Duxford Air Museum Run" and then the "New Forest Run" in 3 and 4 weeks time.

The first pic is of the old cathederal at St Davids which I believe is the UK's smallest city.

2nd and 3rd pics are of Carew Castle

Glad you had a good run. The SO was on her way back to Cornwall last Friday and the roads were very heavy. Glad you faired better, I try not to travel Friday's or Saturdays (change over for the visitors to Cornwall) hope the trip to the new forest is ok.
