'Dislike' @SV8Predator ? Not sure why, it was something that took me by surprise and could easily have caused a bad fire. Everything in my garden normal at lunchtime, but I was out this afternoon. At about 6pm I went to water some plants when I noticed that pile of 'something' then realized there should be an old planter there. Obviously the sun had made the remaining old compost in the planter so hot it had burnt the planter and left only a smouldering pile.Next to the fence and near a shed the lot could have gone up! This base is all that was left of the planter.

Obviously this was an old plastic planter, would this happen with a pot/terracota one? Not the same potential for a real fire.
