Looking at some z4's for sale and wondering what is the best model to get - all are convertibles and different years & mileage. (I presume 1 and 3 are the same, but want to know which would be better. Are they all M sport? I have no idea or knowledge other than my own car.

2.5i se

2.0 20i Auto s-drive Euro

2.5i SE convertible

2.0 20i M Sport auto - s-drive Euro

I have a 98 1.9 auto that she loves but wants more modern version of roof...lol

Many thanks

She needs to try them for herself.

Yes Tony, agreed.
She's not a speed freak, she just wants something pretty for driving around as her daily... she loves my z3 but wants more modern roof mechanism & Aircon basically... lol, the above are ones she has found for sale that she likes the look of, and so we were wondering if there were any major differences over an above the obvious cc/hp differences, before we go and look/try them.
Thanks

My wife never bonded with my Z3, but she was much happier with the E85 Z4 and even more so with the E89 Z4. Just more modern, comfortable and generally easier to live with. All had/have A/C which I think is a must (if only due to climate change;)). But just best to try driving them. My choices would be 2 and 4 as she has been used to driving an auto. My 23i is an auto as was my E85 3.0 and my Z3 2.0

If engine isn’t a consideration just go with condition and spec ..some of the last 2.0 were loaded with extras
