Eventually found a Z3 that I liked enough to buy.
2000 2.8i facelift, it's one of those from the changeover period, so has a few things that I may change out. Orange indicators for a start !
It has 77k on the clock but seems to be in pretty good condition. Paint is good and it has a hardtop.
I am waiting to get it into my local garage for them to have a look as there are one or two issues I am hoping they can reassure me about.
I'll put some pics up when I get 5 minutes.
In the mean time, any tips on 'classic car' insurance providers ? Limited mileage etc.
Any advice much appreciated.

I'm insured with PeterBest. Mine's just a 1.9 I gave the value at £2500 and annual miles at 2500. Less than £100 for the year fully comp. Actually the insurance is less that 50. The rest is broker's fee.

As promised, pictures for those that are interested
There is some evidence of some new paintwork (overspray in the engine bay) but I can't see any evidence of serious repairs. If anyone recognises this car and knows anything to the contrary let me know.
It's going into my local garage so they'll have a look for me.
Drives nicely, everything works and the engine seems as sweet as a nut.
Dry inside, panel gaps seem fine

Nice car - Northern Ireland plate - did you buy from someone in NI?

Sorry for the delay, been on holiday to Morroco...bloody fab

Anyway, the car, yes it was in NI for the first three years of its life. Strangely the docs say 'First reg of reg 01.02.2004.
The plate in the vehicle plainly states that is not correct. So I am slightly in a bind as to whether or not I need to contact DVLA and get the date changed, because NI was surely part of the UK in 99/2000 ??

Also I am going to post a pic of the hard top as the one of Bloo toon Davie's car looks closerer to the body than mine (I'll post and hopefully you'll see what I mean)

Any owner out there want to express an opinion on the definite line of separation, between hard top and body, on the pics of my car , as opposed to the tight line on Bloo Toon Davie's pic of his ??
