So, although I got into cars on my own accord, my dads love for them didnt help prevent it. He use to buy and sell them, Mustang's he said sold the best. And before Ferrari were really well known, he bought a wrecked one and restored It back to life. Ferrari successfully used this particular car for racing before the wreck, it was called the 250gto, yes that one. Before anyone thinks I'm the son of a rich man, he also sold it before Ferrari was as well known as they are today...for 12,000 dollars. :bashhead:
Dont worry we still give him grief. But then again back when he sold it 12k would've bought you a house. If it was any other kind of car then id say it was a good deal. But considering you could buy a small-ish country for what its worth now, I bite my tongue. He did mention how much he loved that car and it seemed like the car loved him back. He really used it and battered all around Los Angeles with it (and going up Mulholland one time at a stoplight, a jaguar e-type was turning left towards him and the jag stopped in the middle of the intersection and stopped all traffic behind him just to glimpse the 250, the guy driving it was Steve McQueen). Unfortunately now the car sits in a collection of Ferrari's hardly being touched belonging to Ralph Lauren, since he doesnt drive the damn thing I dont care who he is ; )
Thankfully my dad made some videos of him and his friends having shenanigans with their Ferrari's from back in the day. He sent me an email with them. So enjoy the show!

Here you go--the original 3 videos and one with GTO sounds I recorded at Sonoma Raceway the way Lelouch added Ferrari sounds to his short film C'était un rendez-vous:
