Has anyone performed a fan clutch delete successfully? I am doing this without ordering parts from bimmerworld or bimmerbum because both stores are US based.

I have individually ordered the proposed 80/88C aux. fan switch and from what I can tell, there is a small tab that I have to cut. I am not sure which tab they mean that I have to cut.

I see that there is a small extrusion on the plug that fits on a slit on the fan switch and from what I can tell the OEM has it on the opposite side from the 80/88C switch.

Is this the connector tab I am suppose to cut to make them fit together? I don't want to destroy my connector randomly :/

Has anyone had similar issues? Thanks

I have done it, inside the connector of the 80c switch there will be a plastic rib that you need to cut with side cutters and remove, once you do that it will plug on your existing connector, there will be a "missing" rib that your old connector would have but that´s not a problem, that´s to prevent you from fitting the connector in the wrong place but you are doing that anyway ;)

Nice to hear from someone that has done it. Thanks a lot for answering :D!

Just to make sure I am not destroying the switch, is the plastic "rib" that I am supposed to cut the one that I have circled in red? Thanks again!
